7mm

I've shot a 7mm, but I dont own one as it's been a while for sure.

I got a 7mm PRC in a Tikka T3x it's light and shoots flat for elk at 300 yards. Hornady 180 gr ELD-M groups tight for me. Never tried the backcountry but it sounds good for hiking hunts.

The 7mm Backcountry's a good pick...flat shooting, strong knockdown, and good for both woods and open ground, just match it with the right lightweight bullet and a good scope for best results.

My main issue with the 7mm Backcountry is ammo availability and handloading. Being a newer cartridge with proprietary steel cases, finding rounds in remote areas or customizing loads could be challenging
