Hi folks, I'm putting together a gun toolkit, I already have a bore snake, cleaning rods and brushes, a torque wrench, punch set, multimeter, small hammer, gun vise, thread locker and some extra springs. What else should I get for fixing and taking care of my guns at home?

That depends on what firearms you'll be working on along with what you feel confident and competent to do. Consider watching some gunsmithing videos to find your comfort zone and what tools are being used by the video pros. No sense in wasting good money that could be spent on ammo or a new firearm for your collection.

You should get a good set of hollow-ground gunsmithing screwdrivers and some hook and pick tools. You can also get a magnetic tray so you don't lose any little springs

Good tips already mentioned but I might add a couple of brass punches and a small hammer with a plastic and rubber end. One of the rubber pucks with holes and grooves to capture pins you remove and some type of rubber jawed table vise for the times you need an extra hand. Optionally a dremel tool is handy as well.

While I own two Dremel tools and have found them very useful over the years, I was told by a gunsmith many years ago that Dremel tools and firearms should be kept as far apart as possible. I have always followed that advice with no regrets.

Don't use a Dremel, get some small files for fitting parts correctly and a good micrometer so you can measure stuff
