I'm looking to get a suppressor and would like to know the average wait times others have experienced. Did you use eForms or the traditional paper process? Any advice for new applicants?

About a week, but I have a trust. I've heard from my ffl that single trust approvals are/were faster.

Silencershop has a running average wait tracker updated weekly. I just bought my first suppressor last Thursday, individual eforms. Haven't got the stamp of approval yet.

We'll see what happens now after the "big beautiful bill" thing since they killed something's but brought back some others and apparently $0 tax stamp. As soon as the dust clears, I'm gonna buy another one to see if there truly is a $0 stamp and/or if the wait times have improved or gotten worse. I have at least two more cans to buy, so I'm patiently waiting.

I waited a few years ago when there was a bill. Didn't pass. I truly hope im wrong but I don't think this one will pass either. But if it does pass, all the suppressors will get bought up so fast you may not get one for a couple years. Meanwhile, I just got my first one yesterday, and it's amazing!! Im just excited, thats all😀

This is quite true, they couldn't keep up with demands with the high prices and tax stamp fees, now with a $0 (potentially) fee, I foresee a huge back order list. Or, this may prove something a little "tin foil hatty" that there is no real demand or heavy research causing inflated pricing and the availability will be there. I think this will give smaller companies a chance to jump in with more options like 3D printing etc. I have two suppressors and would like to get one or two more but I'm trying to be patient.

Well, I bought one last week so you're welcome 😂, the bill passed! No tax stamp, but still all the paperwork for now. I believe it takes effect in 90 days.

Take your time and make sure you get one that suits your needs. Also, find a gun shop that has a kiosk for all the paperwork and hoops to jump through. When I did it the shop charged $35 for the service, but they helped with all the forms, explained the different ways(individual, trust) and scanned my fingerprints made sure there were no mistakes or typos, and submitted it. Well worth the $35.
