We spent the morning at the Dixie Show this morning. There was plenty of ammo, primers and powder, prices weren't too bad. Unfortunately there were very few vintage Smith&Wessons and most were quite common. I was on look out for a set of S&W diamond magna stocks, which I didn't find. We're looking forward to the military show at the fairgrounds on the 23rd and 24th.

Man, haven't been to a Dixie gun and knife in a long time since that discharge a few years back.

Thanks for this update, great idea.

Last Gun Show? Big Y2K Weekend Show in Asheville NC everything had to GO . Had not missed a single Asheville show since 1980.
Back in the Day Dealers came to Asheville to buy not so much sell. Vets & old Mountain people had rare & unusual guns from
Wars & Foreign countries. Surplus firearms parts dealers had everything by the pound, it was like being in a candy store. Powder $8 a pound, primers $10 per 1000, ammo dirt cheap.:D

Me seeing the prices at today's 2025 gun shows of America.

I was there on Sat. but did not have a lot to spend as I don't get paid during the summer. I still spent $250 I probably shouldn't have though. I can't go to a gun show and not spend any money, LOL. I bought a spare magazine, a super safety trigger and a necklace for my wife to ward off criticism, :)

I consider the Dixie Gun and Knife Show, at a minimum, to be the best entertainment value in the Triangle. Spent a few hours there, didn't buy anything and went home happy!

I might go and unload a few pieces soon to the next show.
