I'm putting together a shotgun setup specifically for coastal waterfowl hunting and learning the hard way about saltwater and corrosion. I took my regular duck gun out last season and within a week noticed some rust starting on the barrel, the salt air is rough on gear. I will need some help

Salt is the real limit in coastal shooting, not the ducks. You need a gun with a Cerakote/BE.S.T. or equivalent finish and synthetic stock, period. Benelli SBE 3 or Beretta A400 Xtreme are the top dogs for corrosion resistance. You can strip it and apply a heavy-duty marine oil like Fluid Film to the internals after every single hunt. Don't forget those choke threads
