I got a pistol I bought years ago that just sits in the safe. I've shot it maybe three times, I could sell it and put the money toward something I'd actually use. But also what if I regret it? Do you guys keep everything or sell stuff you don't use?

I am currently downsizing my collection. I am working my way down to just what I really like and shoot, but I know people that have every gun they have ever purchased. It really comes down to your personal choice. I know I don't have any regrets about ones I have sold off.

I have only ever gotten rid of 3 firearms, most recently 2 rifles as I no longer hunt. The other, many years ago, a Ruger Blackhawk in 44 magnum that I always regretted getting rid of. Your life, your choice. We are all different.

I "might" be okay with selling a firearm to finance another. But for the most part, I'd rather have the gun than the money it would bring. Nowadays if I sold the ones I don't use I would not be much of a gun owner.

If you really don't shoot it then there isn't much point in holding on to it. I say sell it and put the money toward something you will actually use and get some enjoyment out of. Why would you regret selling it if you don't use it?

Maybe the length of time you have owned it and ignored it is the determining factor in your case.
I am internally debating a sale on a new gun as well. I have an AXG PRO that I love to shoot so when I had a chance to get an Xfive Legion I jumped on it. Only to determine it doesn’t fit my hand as well. So I bought an AXG grip module, then immediately found a black X5 slide. So the brand new Legion just sits after maybe 75 rds through it. Soon as I built the AXG Xfive I decided to keep the Legion new (ish) and it’s pristine. I never even opened the magazine bags.
