How do you zero your rifle? let’s discuss approaches

I’ve seen a wide range of zeroing methods across the community, and it’s always interesting how each shooter develops their own routine. To help newer members learn and compare techniques, I’d like to hear how each of you approaches zeroing?

My Dad always had me zeroing at fifty yards. He thought it would fix my shaky starts

I wish I had some good methods to share. I've never had it go well. Just spray and pray, twist the dials and spray and pray some more.

Out hunting in open country, I learned to zero at one hundred yards, it just made aiming way easier

I like the two people method. One shoots, and the other adjusts the scope while you hold to original point of aim. Usually three or four shots get it dialed in. Depending on the rifle and caliber as to the distance I use. Mostly 50 or 100 yards.
