This is Gary. I previously joined the S&W discussion board and then this one when it was recommended. I joined the S&W board after purchasing a .460 magnum. Really pleased with it so far. I've never carried a handgun deer hunting, but am going to give this one a try I think. I mostly shoot at a local indoor range, Eagle Guns. My mainstay is a Uberti Mdl 1873 .45, can you tell I like .45s? Also mix it up with a few others. Enjoying retirement at 69 now.

Welcome aboard from coastal North Carolina.
Tell us more about your Uberti Model 1873. Is it 45 Long Colt? I bet it's fun on Range Day.

Yep, .45 Colt. I put a set of Wolf springs in it which was definitly an improvement. You can't beat it as long as you stay with cowboy loads.
