One broke and I replaced it with what was available, now I've got two different brands. It is probably bad, but it's working so far, do you match your rings or mix them?

Personally, I wouldn’t mix and match. Just a tiny little bit of difference in height could put the tube of the scope in a bind and mess up the internals. Scope rings are cheap enough (I dont spend $100 on rings). And you can get them quick enough to not take that chance.

Mixing brands feels fine, right up until it isn't. I had a Leupold ring slip on me once, and ever since that day, I am absolutely religious about matching all my sets.

I would absolutely never mix match rings. It may seem like it’s fine, but it could be putting the scope tube in a bind, causing inaccuracy, inconsistency as well as damage. Also, I’ve never had a scope ring break.

Mixing rings feels like tempting fate, everything’s fine until your zero starts wandering and you’re chasing ghosts at the range
