That’s the kind of routine that keeps gear reliable without turning cleaning into a full-day projectMy cleaning routine is pretty no-nonsense. I wipe it down, clean the bore, check wear points, done. I’m not scrubbing like it’s going into a display case.
Patches-only works fine until the excess lube starts hosting its own little ecosystemYeah, a lot of my collection is relatively new since I’ve just gotten back into shooting these last 3 years. 4/5 of my guns have never seen a bore brush or bore cleaner, I just run patches through there until clean. I am sometimes guilty of excess lubricant usage which does create some extra cleaning needs though.
I know that’s right! Don’t need to turn a bit of grease into lapping compound, ha ha.Patches-only works fine until the excess lube starts hosting its own little ecosystem
